David Glasser
Trial Attorney
David Glasser is a Trial Attorney at Pumphrey Law. A native of Tampa, David completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University on a merit scholarship, majoring in political science and economics. While there, he started a student newspaper and served as its editor-in-chief, interned in the Executive Office of the Governor, and wrote for multiple national and international news publications. He graduated magna cum laude before enrolling at the Florida State University College of Law on a full-tuition academic scholarship.
David developed a passion for criminal defense during a summer internship at Pumphrey Law. After he was hired as a law clerk, David worked at the firm for over 50 hours a week, year-round, including while a full-time law student. During his second year of law school, David authored and published a novel — “The Death of Justice” — which was inspired by the first trial he witnessed as a clerk.
David has had the privilege of assisting dozens of Pumphrey Law’s clients charged with offenses ranging from capital felonies to misdemeanors at trials, pretrial hearings, and in violation of probation (VOP) proceedings. He has also composed over 600 blog posts for the Pumphrey Law website involving extensive analyses of Florida case law, as well as commentary on various statutes and legal issues ranging from entrapment to the Stand Your Ground defense.
Upon graduating from FSU Law and passing the bar exam, David joined the firm as its newest associate. In Pumphrey Law’s 27-year history, he is just the second law clerk to receive a job offer.
Though he is a self-described “workaholic,” when David is not in the office, he enjoys reading, writing, working out, listening to podcasts, investing, traveling, and spending quality time with his amazing girlfriend, Phoebe.
