About: Meet Matthew, a dedicated and driven second-year law student with a passion for criminal law. Originally from South Africa, Matthew’s dream of pursuing a career in criminal law has been a lifelong aspiration.

Since starting his studies at the Florida State University College of Law, Matthew has actively engaged in various leadership roles. These have included positions like President for the Federal Bar Association at FSU Law, Treasurer for the Association for Criminal Justice, and Treasurer for the Trial Team.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Matthew is committed to making a positive impact in the community. During his first year of law school, Matthew volunteered at the Tallahassee Veterans Legal Collaborative.

When he is not working with the esteemed staff at Pumphrey Law, Matthew finds joy in exploring his culinary skills with new recipes and indulging in wood-working projects alongside his family.
