12/18/15 – Mila Dago

            Following a 2013 crash, Dago was sentenced to 4 years in prison, followed by 10 years of probation. While going through a breakup, Dago sent her ex-boyfriends texts that read “Driving drunk woo,” “I’ll be dead because of you,” “I’m done. You ruined me. You’ll be the death of me,” unfortunately she was wrong about the repercussions of her actions, she would ultimately be the death of her friend and passenger. Her blood alcohol level was .178.

10/27/1017 – Jessica Araujo

            Araujo received a 10-and-a-half-year sentence after running a red light while intoxicated and crashed into Naji El-Kadi two days before his wedding. He was killed in the resulting accident. While Araujo took full responsibility for her actions, her blood alcohol level was over three times the legal maximum in the state of Florida.

3/15/18 – Michael Tomei

            The 28-year old Michael Tomei was responsible for running a Hyundai across a median an into the Nissan driven by a 63-year old man and his wife. According to the terms of the plea arrangement Tomei will serve 12 months in prison, followed by a 10-year probation sentence. His blood alcohol level far exceeded the presumption maximum of .08, coming in at .0141.
